The Daytona Autograph hotel is located at an amazing spot within view of the Daytona International Speedway right across the street! As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium elite member, I was upgraded to a suite complimentary while I attended the NASA Championship weekend event at the Daytona speedtrack. The main bartender finally poured me a small beer and I was on my way. I explained that I've been sitting for awhile and no one has asked me for a refill. I finally waived someone down and was told that the bar already had last call. By this time, I was annoyed that no one had approached me at all. Finally, after about 10 minutes, one of the bartenders told him to go and he did.
He did have a name tag on as he wobbled back and forth and fell against the bar several times as he waited for something. It would appear that he may have been a manager but im not sure because the girls kept pushing him away. I later watched a marriott employee walk behind the bar and start confronting the bartenders with something he was trying to show them on the phone. I saw multiple interactions with 1 bartender where she was cursing at different things. What I did see should alarm the marriott brand. After about 30 minutes I sat there with an empty beer waiting for someone to ask me if I wanted another. The bartenders seemed very attentive to the wedding party and drinks were being poured non stop. I sat down and ordered a beer and watched my surroundings. I happened to arrive at the bar just before a wedding party arrived. However, this place needs serious attention. Id like to start by saying that I've always been a fan of marriott hotels for a long time.
